Jackass: The Movie

This movie based off the TV show of the same name that used to air on MTV. It’s most famous prank being a mock kidnapping of Brad Pitt, who was more than willing to work with Johnny Knoxville and crew, in the middle of a medium sized crowd. Besides these pranks, it became notorious for the outrageous stunts they would perform – setting themselves on fire, stapling their genitals to their thighs, and things of the same deviant nature. Now though, the kid gloves are off… with the freedom that comes from the movie medium, they now have to pull off even more manic stunts and they now have a bigger budget to do it too.

I wasn’t really a fan of the TV show, but whenever I caught it, it seemed a bit repulsive to me and never really cared too much for it. But I was surprised when the movie got decent, no, actually very excellent reviews so I just had to see it. It was full of the same crazy antics that the show gained fame for, but to my surprise, I enjoyed it – A LOT. I haven’t laughed so much during a movie since “South Park”. I won’t elaborate on the things that they actually do in the movie so as not to spoil it, but I would describe it as a cross between horror and comedy. Horror since what these guys do are really disgusting, with the next scene being even worse than the previous one. Comedy as well, since for some reason, seeing them do these things are strangely funny. Each scene will leave you with an “I can’t believe they did that” expression on your face, and make you wanting for more. Definitely worth the 8 bucks admission.
